INGREDIENTS

4 medium size potatoes - boiled

2 medium size carrots - finely chopped

1/4 cup green peas

1/4 cup american sweet corn

1 medium size capsicum - finely chopped

4 green chilies - finely chopped

1/2 inch ginger - finely chopped

100 gm processed cheese - grated

4 teaspoon maida (plain flour)

2 teaspoon corn flour

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon red chili flakes

1 cup bread crumbs

1 teaspoon mixed herbs

Common salt - as per taste

Cooking oil - for deep frying

PROCEDURE

Peel off and mash boiled potatoes. Steam carrot, green peas and sweet corn. Toss green chili and capsicum in a teaspoon of cooking oil. Mix carrot, green peas, sweet corn, capsicum, green chili, ginger, red chili flakes and salt into mashed potato to make a uniform dough and keep aside.

Mix corn flour and maida in water to make a thin batter.

Make lemon sized balls of the dough each filled with about 1/4 teaspoon of grated cheese. Roll each ball into a capsule shape to make the strips.

Dip each strip into a corn floor and maida batter and dip into bread crumbs to give an uniform bread crumb coat on it. Repeat this one or two more times if you want to have thick skin.

Heat a cooking oil in a pan and deep fry the strips on a medium heat until golden brown. Serve with tomato ketchup or salsa.
